We invite you to a workshop that offers practical insight into the financial forecasting process in equity analysis. It demonstrates straightforwardly how analysts formulate assumptions about a company's future based on historical data and market information.
Participants will learn the fundamentals of creating financial forecasts, from revenues and costs to margins, as well as analyzing the relationships between items in financial statements. Emphasis will be placed on the fact that effective forecasting is not about precisely predicting the future, but about logically building fact-based scenarios and understanding the business drivers that impact a company's performance.
The workshop focuses on real-world analysis examples from multiple industries (IT, manufacturing, technology) to show how different markets require different modeling approaches. The entire session is practical. Participants will learn not only the technical aspects of modeling but also the mindset of an equity analyst, connecting numbers with a business narrative and strategic company assessment.
The workshop will be led by Karol Brodziński, CFA, from CFA Society Switzerland.
