We invite you to participate in the 15th edition of the European Financial Congress, held under the Patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU. The Congress will take place from June 2-4, 2025, at the Sheraton Hotel Conference Center in Sopot.
EKF 2025 will explore how and to what extent the financial sector can support:
- The competitiveness and development of the Polish and EU economies
- Transformation and security, especially: defense, energy, digital, and cybersecurity
- The sector's clients.
The European Financial Congress will also focus on Poland's potential contribution to international initiatives aimed at increasing Europe's competitiveness and security amidst deglobalization and uncertainty driven by geopolitics.
Over the three days of the Congress, we invite you to actively participate in program events, including both those that constitute EKF's traditional focus and discussions on new challenges and proposed solutions for problems currently faced by the domestic and European financial markets.
On the first day of the Congress, together with guests, we will aim to identify, among other things, the geopolitical factors shaping the further development of the EU and Poland. We will also present the results of the year-long project inspired by President Lech Wałęsa: "Does Business Care About Democracy?". We also invite you to join discussions on the relevance, value, and competitiveness of banks for the second quarter of the 21st century, as well as the prospect of the transatlantic relationship in an era of transactional politics.
To conclude the first day, the Chairman of the EKF Program Council, together with representatives of key institutions from the domestic financial sector, will address the topic: "The Financial Sector and Economic Development: Is Doing What You've Always Done Sufficient?".
Traditionally, the Congress program includes:
- The EFC Academy Oxford Debate, this year debating the thesis: "Artificial intelligence poses a greater threat than opportunity for social stability."
- Premiere of the EKF Prognostic Consensus (June 2025) and the EKF Macroeconomic Roundtable
- EFC Technology Roundtable – A Map of Challenges for the Banking Sector 2025-2028
- Banking Risk Roundtable with participation from CROs and invited experts
- and the session concluding the 15th European Financial Congress: "A Map of Challenges for the Banking Sector," with the participation of CEOs of the largest domestic banks.
