During Career Impulse Meetings we are bringing closer the stories of some outstanding CFA Charterholders whose careers did not go in the direction one would typically expect. We show the stories of people who strayed away from a usual finance career and had the courage to go on a completely different journey. Together with these people, we will explore how their journeys evolved since they became CFA Charterholders, what helped them to make a decision to move away from typical finance roles. We will discuss whether CFA Charter is still of the importance to them and what finance skills did they took over to the new role as well as what was it that they still had to learn. Our goal is also to evaluate the impact of being a CFA Charterholder on their success in the current role.
Meet our speaker
Raphael Mueller, CFA
Raphael is a Senior Product Manager and is responsible for Avaloq’s Wealth platform. He has 13 years of professional working experience within the financial industry. He started his career as an investment consultant for institutional clients at PPCmetrics AG in Zurich. After that, he moved to Credit Suisse where he was working as an in-house consultant, project manager and product owner in Zurich and Singapore. In 2017 Raphael joined a Swiss Fintech start-up to build up a technology solution for independent asset managers. Since 2020 he is in his current role at Avaloq in Zurich. Raphael holds a master degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Zurich and is a CFA charterholder.
