This November CFA Society Poland will take a look at the gold-plating phenomenon, which has been widely commented on in recent months, by organizing a hybrid conference for market participants: "Gold-plating. Implementation of European Regulations versus the Development and Competitiveness of the Polish Financial Market".
We would like to invite all professionals on November 30 (Tuesday) to the InterContinental Hotel in Warsaw. Polish and international experts will discuss market problems related to gold-plating and their consequences with comparison to other countries. Together, we will also look for answers on how gold-plating affects the competitiveness of the Polish capital market. During the event, we will present our report with gold-plating examples in Poland and European countries.
Meet our speakers at the gold-plating conference by CFA Society Poland:
- Benoît Sauvage, Director, Deloitte Luxembourg – “Introducing European regulations with the competitiveness for the market. How to implement European regulations without negative consequences for the market”
- Pieter Van Putten, CFA, Managing Director, Pelargos Capital – “Consequences of European regulations' restrictive introduction”
- Dr Miriam Parmentier, Seconded National Expert, European Commission – “Creating European capital regulations. Goals and conditions. How does a creation of European capital market regulations look like in practice”
- Prof. James J. Angel, McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University – “Different responses to the crisis or how it looks like somewhere else. Changes in US capital market regulations in response to the 2007-2008 crisis”.
