Accoring to "Financial Times" ETFs, which provide a low-cost way to invest in a basket of assets such as an index, now regularly account for a third of the trading on the US stock market and an even larger share in periods of high volatility. Over the last decade popularity of a passive investing has become more and more significant.

Since August 2008 employed in TFI PZU (previously PZU Asset Management). First as a portfolio manager in FICC department responsible for running clients structured bond and swap portfolio, and since 2012 responsible for managing unconstrained bond and money market funds and indexed bond portfolios (12bio PLN AuM). Since 2015 deputy head of FICC department. In January 2018 became head of newly created Quantitative Investment Management department, responsible for creating and managing passive products, both funds and portfolios (1.5bio PLN AuM). Between December 2006 and July 2008 employed in Barclays Capital in London as a Valuation Control Quantitative Analyst. Before that, had spent 2 years in BRE Bank (currently mBank) as a quantitative analyst in risk management/model validation unit, and almost a year as an Asset Management specialist in Penetrator Brokerage House SA. M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from AGH University of Science and Technology. Since September 2013, CFA® charterholder. Since September 2010, Doradca Investycyjny (Investment Advisor, given by KNF Polish Financial Supervision Authority). Since 2005 Professional Risk Manager (PRM) given by Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA).
Dr Christopher Mellor, CFA, Head of EMEA ETF Equity & Commodity Product Management, Invesco
Chris leads the EMEA ETF equity & commodity product management team at Invesco, responsible for providing support and analysis for our ETFs. Before joining Invesco he worked as an investment strategist, focusing on market timing and tactical allocation across regions, sectors and styles for Sunrise, State Street Global Markets, Credit Suisse and Societe Generale. Chris holds a DPhil in Inorganic Chemistry from Balliol College, Oxford. He is a charterholder of the CFA Institute.
Oleg Juretschko, Head of DACH Capital Markets, Invesco
Oleg is Head of DACH Capital Markets. In this role he is responsible for managing relationships with the ETF trading community and assists clients with trading and execution in Invesco UCITS ETFs. Oleg has more than 10 years experience in the asset management industry. Before joining Invesco, he held a number of roles at global asset management and financial services firms, including Product Manager and ETF Capital Markets Specialist at Vanguard Asset Management as well as Fixed Income Analyst at Bloomberg L.P. Oleg holds a Master’s degree in Management and Investment Strategy from the Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Markus Poscher, CFA, Head of Austria & CEE Distribution, Invesco
Markus Poscher is heading Invesco’s distribution efforts in Central Europe. Markus is based in Invesco’s Vienna office and is directly responsible for servicing professional investors in Poland. Before joining Invesco in 2005, he worked in the equity research department of Credit Lyonnais Securities in Paris. Markus holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of Linz. A CFA® charterholder from 2008 on, he has also accepted to serve at the board of CFA Society Austria since 2017.
Bartosz Pawłowski, CFA, Chief Investment Officer, mBank Private Banking; Vice President of CFA Society Poland
Bartosz Pawłowski, CFA is the Chief Investment Officer of mBank Private Banking where he focuses on asset allocation for both discretionary asset management and investment advisory. Previously he spent almost 10 years in London, initially as Global Head of Emerging Markets Strategy at BNP Paribas and then as a Portfolio Manager at Finisterre Capital, an EM-oriented macro hedge fund. Bartosz holds M.A. in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics and is a CFA® charterholder. In co-operation with CFA Society Poland, Bartosz introduced CFA Institute Statement of Investor Rights to mBank Wealth Management. mBank was the first institution in Poland to adopt and use it when dealing with clients. Bartosz was also a judge during two editions of CFA Research Challenge and participated as a panelist in many CFA Society Poland conferences.

Sophie Thurner, EMEA ETF Product Develoment, BlackRock
Sophie Thurner is an ESG Product Specialist within the iShares Sustainable Products Segment, with responsibility for growing the adoption of Sustainable ETFs in the EMEA region, providing product expertise, competitive positioning and supporting analysis to drive iShares product selection. She joined BlackRock as part of the Returner Programme after having set up her own private nutrition practice in Central London, where she provided patients with bespoke advice on a variety of nutritional concerns. Prior to that Sophie was an Investment Advisor at HSBC Private Bank focusing on investment solutions for UHNW clients. Sophie started her career as an M&A analyst at Lehman Brothers.
Tom Husmann, EMEA Investment & Product Strategy, BlackRock
Tom Husmann is an Equity & Commodity Product Strategist in the iShares EMEA Equity Product Strategy Team. The team’s responsibilities include helping clients navigate the iShares range across regional exposures and fund specific strategies. They perform bespoke client analysis, tactical market insight and engage in general ETF education. Tom joined BlackRock's EII business from Fidelity International, where he completed a graduate rotational program and worked in the data analytics, sales, equity investment specialist and ETF/index fund teams.
Matthias Zeinitzer, iShares & Wealth Eastern Europe, BlackRock
Matthias Zeinitzer is a member of the iShares & Wealth EEGA Team based in Vienna. His focus is the development of the client base in Central Eastern Europe including Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia. Here he covers institutional clients including asset managers, pensions funds, insurances as well as the local retail market. Prior to joining BlackRock, Matthias Zeinitzer had been working for Spangler IQAM Invest, a quant asset management boutique based in Austria, for more than 10 years. There he was first based in the asset management team where he managed more than EUR 1bn of AUM in the field of multi asset and equity strategies. From 2017 till 2019 he was strongly involved in product management and led in his last position the product management.
