For many investors, climate change poses significant financial challenges and opportunities, now and in the future. The expected transition to a lower-carbon economy is estimated to require around $1 trillion of investments a year for the foreseeable future, generating new investment opportunities. At the same time, the risk-return profile of organizations exposed to climate related risks may change significantly as such organizations may be more affected by physical impacts of climate change, climate policy, and new technologies.

Tommi Oksanen, CFA, works in Planetrics’ climate change risk management and consulting practice, focussing on the financial impacts of climate change risk. His clients include regulators, banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and asset owners. Prior to joining Planetrics, Tommi was an Executive Director at MSCI advising international banks, asset managers and asset owners in risk management, portfolio construction, asset allocation and performance attribution. Tommi has also broad experience in strategy consulting advising leading international banks, hedge funds and asset managers on business strategy topics. Tommi holds an MSc from University of Vaasa, and he is a CFA Charter holder and has finished CFA ESG-investing examination.

Milena Olszewska-Miszuris possesses over 15 years of experience on capital markets. Currently she runs a boutique advisory company supporting corporates in value creation, financial and non-financial reporting as well as investor relations. She also conducts trainings and lectures on valuation, financial analysis and storytelling. She holds three international designations: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and FSA Credential (Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting) issued by SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board). Milena graduated from two faculties at Warsaw School of Economics: Quantitative Methods and Information Systems as well as Finance and Banking with a major in Investment Banking. Milena started her career at an international consulting company Ernst&Young. For 10 years she has been an equity analyst at international brokerage houses (ING Securities, KBC Securities, CDM Pekao). She is a multiple times laureate of analysts rankings for her insights and recommendations both domestically in Poland (Analyst of the Year title awarded by Warsaw Stock Exchange and Parkiet financial newswire, winner of analysts rankings in TMT and retail sectors) and internationally (top CEE analyst and top consumer analyst titles in international Extel survey). She is also a member of Association of Independent Supervisory Board Members.
