Your responsibilities

  • Active participation in the development of a new market risk model project, a tool that measures and supports market risk management in the fund's investment activities
  • Data flow automation, designing a solution to replace manual data export from SQL to Excel with direct integration with the Python model
  • Standardization of corporate bond valuation models documentation, organizing existing descriptions, and preparing a coherent “master” document for the valuation process
  • Implementation of the new POLSTR market interest rate standard, support in updating assumptions and mapping changes resulting from the transition to the new benchmark
  • Validation and quality control of results, comparing the outcomes of improved tools with existing models, and identifying discrepancies

 

Our requirements

  • Student status of at least the 3rd year (or a graduate up to two years after graduation) in quantitative fields (financial mathematics, quantitative methods, econometrics, statistics, data science, big data, business analytics, or related)
  • Interest in financial mathematics and risk modeling, knowledge of bond market issues, interest rates, market and credit risk, and the valuation of financial instruments
  • Desire to develop in the area of market risk, documented e.g., by participation in an academic project, choice of study specialization, topic of a student thesis, or progress in acquiring professional qualifications in the risk area, e.g., PRM, FRM, investment advisor
  • Basic knowledge of working with data – experience in Python (numpy, pandas), SQL, or Excel/VBA is welcome, along with a readiness to further develop these skills
