In April 2026, CFA Institute granted affiliation to two more degree programs in Poland. The inclusion of the University of Warsaw and SGH Warsaw School of Economics in the prestigious University Affiliation Program (UAP) makes them the seventh and eighth universities in the country, respectively, whose programs pave the way to earning a prestigious, international professional credential in investment management.
The UAP is a massive global initiative that supports modern market education. Currently, the affiliation network brings together 807 universities from 45 countries, reaching over 130,000 students across 1,200 finance degree programs worldwide. The EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) is a strong pillar of this program, with over 250 partner universities. Belonging to such an elite group is proof of the highest quality of education for these universities.
At the University of Warsaw, the affiliation was awarded to the Master's program in Quantitative Finance, offered by the Faculty of Economic Sciences. This program covers quantitative finance from the perspective of the latest scientific achievements and the experiences of financial institutions. Meanwhile, at SGH Warsaw School of Economics, the Master's degree in Corporate Financial Management was recognized. Graduates of this program gain comprehensive analytical and managerial skills in finance, and its alignment with the CFA Program requirements provides them with a very solid foundation to take the CFA exams in the future.
Belonging to the UAP brings many tangible benefits to universities and students. A key role is played by a dedicated scholarship system, with a special focus on student support. This makes earning the CFA charter much more attainable and gives a huge group of young people a chance to advance their careers faster. As part of the program, CFA Institute offers scholarships for students and professors that reduce the exam registration fee under the Premium Registration Package, which also includes access to the Practice Pack.
The affiliation also guarantees open access to expert knowledge through the Research and Policy Center (RPC). This platform contains a rich database of articles, reports, and research covering a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from technology and data analytics through capital markets to sustainable investment.
CFA Institute also provides universities with invaluable materials to support the teaching of business ethics, making it easier to uphold the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. Universities gain access to the digital education platform Ethics Learning Lab and the Ethical Decision-Making (EDM) Toolkit, which allows them to organize their own ethical decision-making workshops.
