CFA Society Poland is honoured to invite for the very first time for an event fully dedicated to new CFA Chaterholders, Charter Award Ceremony. New members of the community will be welcomed on the night of 24 January, after months of efforts and multiple examinations. Gary Baker, CFA, Managing Director for EMEA at CFA Institute will personally award the designations to new Charterholders. It is a wonderful opportunity to congratulate them on their success in joining the community of the best investment professionals.
The ceremony will be held in Hotel Bristol, Krakowskie Przedmieście 42/44 in Warsaw.

About the speakers:
Prof. Krzysztof Jajuga – professor of economic sciences, lecturer in Wroclaw University of Economics and universities abroad (e.g. Shanghai Jiao Tong University). His research concentrates on finance, risk management as well as econometrics and statistics. He is chairman of Department of Financial Investments and Risk Management and director of Finance Management Institute at Wroclaw University of Economics. He is founder and president of CFA Society Poland. He was member of Scientific Council of National Bank of Poland and member of Supervisory Board of Warsaw Stock Exchange. He advises and cooperates with numerous financial institutions and enterprises. In addition he is chairman of Committee of Statistics and Econometrics of Polish Academy of Sciences, deputy chairman of Committee of Economic Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences and member of board of Committee of Financial Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences.
Gary Baker, CFA – managing director of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at CFA Institute. He is responsible for the strategic direction of the organization in the EMEA region and for strengthening relationships with its 40 member societies, as well as with institutions, universities, regulators, and institutional partners. Mr. Baker is responsible for supporting CFA Institute policy development in EMEA, advancing the impact of advocacy efforts, and supporting EMEA member societies in delivering value to members and candidates. He has a focus on increasing charterholder commitment to continuing education and has management responsibility for research functions across CFA Institute, including the Financial Analysts Journal, the Future of Finance initiative, and CFA Institute Research Foundation. Mr. Baker has been engaged in financial market investment research for the past 30 years in a wide range of sell-side strategic, analytic, and management roles. Previously, he was deputy head of research at Jefferies, and he also worked at Merrill Lynch in a number of global roles, including managing director and chief European equity strategist. Mr. Baker earned a master’s degree in geography from Cambridge University.
